Spelling:  "Lost Lake" test Friday

Math: Lesson 2 Side B

Simple Solutions:  Parents please check Lesson 1 and have your students make corrections. Then have them do Lesson 2.

August 30, 2010

Spelling: Print each "Lost Lake" word two times each.

Please sign and return the signature needed papers that came home today. The kids get incentive  stickers on their charts for the return of the forms.

Please cover all the hard cover text books. Brown paper bags are still my favorite book covers! The kids can take them home one at a time, if they like,  until they are all covered. I would like them all covered by September 8th please. Again the kids get stickers as an incentive.

We will count the stickers at the end of the month, usually, to see who has the most and the second most. Stickers can be earned by having the assignment  book signed once we get the ones in the office for the kids to buy. They will be $3.75 and are required. Thanks

Hello to my newest 4th Grade families!

I know it is a little early to think about school suppplies but I see the ads are in the Sunday paper for sales on such things. I also saw the annual Crayola bargains, etc. at Walmart over the weekend. It is always good to take advantage of these sales to "stock-up" no matter where you shop!

Enjoy the next few weeks and keep cool!

Love,

Mrs. Walter

The following is a list of supplies that I would like you to have for school this year. You may find some good sales in the next few weeks so I thought you would like to have the list before the first day of school.

The following items are required:

pencils
a separate eraser that you can use after your pencil erasers are flattened
crayons
glue sticks
scissors
a 12 inch ruler with inches and centimeters, NOT the bendable kind, please

6 single subject notebooks with 70 or so pages that are WIDE ruled. Multi-subject will not work because they will be collected for grading at different times.

a tablet of white three hole paper- Loose leaf works but you will have to put it in a folder in your desk. NO BINDERS because they will not fit in your desk.

4  two pocket folders

A box or pouch to keep your supplies in

When you are shopping for a book bag please think about sturdiness as the most important factor. The hard back books are heavy and go home frequently in 4th grade.

The following may be used if you would like to have them with you but are not required:

markers

colored pencils

bottled glue

A NOTE  ABOUT BOOK COVERS:

If you plan to buy the stretchy fabric covers you will need the extra large/jumbo ones. The large that the stores put on sale at this time of year are too small.

There are 4 hardback books that need covers.  Brown paper bags are the best choice for sturdy paper covers. Please do not use the sticky back kind.
